What We Offer
An Tobar Nua Retreat teams deliver full day retreats at your school or our centre. Our focus is on developing the student's overall well-being and encouraging faith in an interactive, relatable, fun and contemporary manner. We aim to inspire young people to discover meaning, value and purpose in their lives. Our retreats are extremely sensitive to religious and faith diversity. At our retreats, the teens are given the opportunity to express their views and thoughts in an inclusive, welcoming environment.
Contents of the Day
The day is filled with team-building games, music, personal stories, presentations, a prayer experience, opportunities for students to express their worldviews, and Q&A. Our presentations include a well-being talk on topics such as "Steps into Happiness", "How to Build Resilience in Your Life", and "The Importance of Friendship", along with a modern version of the Gospel story, so that today's teens may relate to the message of God's love.
Currently our retreats are for secondary school students only.
We can host retreats at your secondary school or at our centre in An Tobar Nua (Galway City).
We can host a maximum of 30 students at our centre or we can facilitate larger groups at your school.
There is no charge for the retreat itself, although as a charity, we gratefully accept any donations received. If the retreat is held in our Galway centre, we appreciate a donation of €10 per student to cover the cost of the lunch, hot chocolate, and cookies provided.
